1/11/2009, Sunday
Today is the first day of the week, and of the month. It’s also a nice day as well, not too sunny, nor rainy, just right. Nearly all ex-classmates of SJK(C) Chung Hua Krokop, 2006 class 6A + 6B gathered at Tanjung Lobang to have a wonderful reunion.
Nic and I arrived there after three o’clock. Seeing so many old faces just make me feel like being brought back to three years ago. Three years, it’s been a long time. Although something still looks the same, there are still changes, which make things never the same as before.
There were lots of foods on the table. Red bean ice, fried mee, lasagna, cheese cake, dragon fruit jelly, sandwiches plus barbecue meat simply made my mouth water. Oh, I forgot to mention Nic’s salad as well. The foods were delicious, thanks to those talented cookers who kindly sponsored this reunion party.
We invited all our kind and lovely ex-teachers, but sadly, only two showed their faces, 林宴芳老师 and 许琳瑛老师. It’s quite a pity that yellow couldn’t come. I was looking forward to meeting all those teachers who taught us and helped us pass UPSR with flying rainbow colours. 许琳瑛老师brought her son along. A cute gentleman. Lol~
After chitchatting, we took a stroll along the beach. I found plenty of smooth river stones and seashells, and I put some in my pocket. The boys played football by the seaside. It’s really weird to see a guy who used to be shorter than you, now seemed to be towering above you. Nic + Shin Teck + me went to the jetty and meet up with Calvin and other guys. After taking lots and lots of photos, we headed back to the pondok and had more food and fun.
Something which is worth mention of is that someone brought a bottle of beer and the boys had trouble opening it. Any amount of pulling, hitting, shaking, and banging just couldn’t get the cap off. In the end, Robin used a knife to open it. Haha… I tried a little of the beer and it’s not really nice, a little bitter actually. So, I still prefer ‘Sandy’.
At the climax of the party, half of the ‘active ones’ went high and started throwing water balloons everywhere. It’s like a war. So, the ‘not-so-very-active ones’ retreated from the war zone and watched those people playing chase like wet chickens. Trust me, you won’t want a bucket full of water on your head.
After that, we took lots and lots of photos. Then, we went home la~
Have a nice day!
